This is an excellent first shop project for students to complete. Teach students the basics of measurement and assembly with free materials. Students create a robust cardboard box that can easily integrate lessons on measurement and accuracy.
They will learn the following:

Safe hand tool use
Design Drawing Interpretation
Lastly, students are left with a box that can be used to store small projects that they are working on throughout the year.
